Motoyamacho Brewery, based in Motoyamacho, Mito City, has unveiled its new beer, 'Dark it Orange.' On Instagram, the brewery said, "We released a NEW beer last weekend," and introduced it as a dark-style beer with a deep color close to black.

According to the post, the beer is designed with a very dark appearance while gently preserving malt flavor, then adding hop flavor over a clean mouthfeel. As a hidden accent, it also incorporates the aroma of orange peel, aiming for a finish that stays easy to drink even in the summer. As the name suggests, its appeal lies in combining a dark look with orange-like nuance.

Motoyamacho Brewery is a small brewery that produces six regular beers centered on ales and serves freshly made beer at its taproom, Motoyamacho Beer Stand, attached to the brewery. The reason they included "Motoyamacho" in the brewery name was their desire to make beer that local people could enjoy. True to its roots in Mito's craft beer scene, this new release is also drawing attention as a beer to enjoy in a familiar neighborhood setting.
