The brewpub Tsuji Brewing, located in Misumicho, Chigasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture, announced on Instagram that it will be appearing at a spring outdoor event. The event in question is the “Umichika Marche” on March 21 and 22. The venue is HUG-RIDE PARK in Kugenuma Seaside Park.
According to the post, this marche will be Tsuji Brewing’s “first booth appearance” of the season. In addition to 11 to 12 breweries on site, there will also be numerous food vendors offering dishes that pair well with craft beer, raising expectations for a weekend beer-hopping event. The post also emphasized the location: a seaside park where, if the weather and wind cooperate, visitors can enjoy beer while looking out at the ocean.
As for the beer lineup, the Weizenbock currently being served at the taproom is said to be down to its “last keg,” and one keg has been set aside for the event. In other words, this is the key point of interest this time: there is a chance to encounter the same beer both at the shop and at the event.
Tsuji Brewing is appealing for its neighborhood-focused taproom atmosphere and its booth style that fits right in with Shonan’s outdoor drinking culture. As a kickoff for late March, this is one to keep on your radar.
