OCTONE Brewing, based in Minakami, Gunma, said it will join the Minakami Onsen Oide Festival on Saturday, Sept. 5 and Sunday, Sept. 6. In the post, the brewery said Tatsuya from Tantokuwassai will grill meat during the festival hours on Sept. 5, while Mizuki from the glowing bear juice stand will also be on site. OCTONE said it will be handling the beer service.
The brewery is rooted in Minakami's water and natural environment. According to its official site, beer production began in 2018 and later expanded into a broader local-making model that includes hard cider. In spring 2025, the brewery moved and expanded its equipment, and a taproom next to the brewery now serves fresh beer and cider.
The reposted festival schedule lists the Oide dance parade for Sept. 5 and the mikoshi parade for Sept. 6. The main venues are the Fureai Exchange Hall parking area and the Yubara hot spring district. This year's event marks the 20th anniversary since the festival was revived, making the local brewery presence a natural fit for the town celebration.
