North Island Beer to Hold Fresh-Green Event “Ryokuen” at Nishikiyama Tenmangu in Ebetsu
North Island Beer will hold the event “Ryokuen -Ryokuen-” at Nishikiyama Tenmangu Shrine in Ebetsu City on June 28. The originally planned cherry-blossom outing, which had to be rescheduled because of bad weather, will be carried out as an outdoor event suited to the fresh-green season, where guests can enjoy draft beer and food.
The event “Ryokuen -Ryokuen-,” announced by North Island Beer on Instagram, will be held on Sunday, June 28, from 11:00 to 15:00 at Nishikiyama Tenmangu Shrine, 38-1 Nopporo Yoyogi-cho, Ebetsu City. Because the previous event could not be held as a cherry-blossom viewing and had to be rescheduled, this time it is being introduced less as a “hanami” and more as a gathering to enjoy the comfort of fresh greenery. Cancelled in the event of rain.
The participation fee is 4,500 yen for adults, 1,000 yen for elementary school students and older, and free for preschool children. Capacity is 120 people, excluding preschool children. At the venue, North Island Beer’s various draft beers and limited-edition beers, soft drinks, yakitori, yakisoba, a marshmallow-roasting experience, a candy grab game for children only, and stone-oven pizza from PIZZERIA DEL CAPITANO are scheduled to be offered. Guests are also encouraged to bring a picnic sheet, chairs, and their own glass or cup.
Reservations are accepted through Beer Bar NORTH ISLAND, the Ebetsu factory outlet, or by DM. For DM reservations, the organizer says you must include your name, number of participants, and contact information. Participants who have already reserved will be contacted later by email.
North Island Beer is a brewery that began its journey with the motto “Beer is Art,” starting from training in Canada. Based at its factory in Ebetsu, Hokkaido, it offers five standard beers along with limited brews and seasonal products. At its directly operated Beer Bar NORTH ISLAND, up to 12 draft beers are available in central Sapporo, and this event is likely to be a place where both its craftsmanship and its ties to the local community can be seen.
