Sakura Taps Opens Collaboration Beer "Unexpected" on the Second Day of Its 11th Anniversary Week
On April 2, Sakura Taps in Yokohama's Yoshida-machi marked the second day of its 11th anniversary week and newly tapped the collaboration beer "Unexpected" by Sakura Smoked Workshop and 254 BeeR. Eight beers were on tap, along with limited food and special anniversary menu items.

Sakura Taps opened at 3:00 p.m. and closed at 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 2. Located on the second floor of Noraneko Street in Yokohama's Yoshida-machi, it welcomed the second day of its 11th anniversary week. The new tap for the day was `Unexpected`, a collaboration between Sakura Smoked Workshop and 254 BeeR in Hakuraku, Yokohama. Built on a Belgian Tripel base and paired with fresh Shiranui citrus peel, the beer is said to bring aromas reminiscent of banana and pear, with layers of orange and melon nuances.

That day, a limited assorted plate of three smoked seafood items was also available. It featured cold-smoked red sea bream, hot-smoked scallops, and firefly squid marinated in smoked oil, arranged on one plate for easy pairing while following the beer's aromas. In addition, currywurst, rich strawberry cheesecake, and pumpkin pudding continued to be served as special 11th anniversary menu items. The tap lineup was notable for its well-balanced mix of in-house brewing, local breweries, and collaboration beers, making it a day made for taking your time with food and beer side by side.
