New Tap

On August 2, Sakura Taps added West Coast Brewing’s “Instant Classic” to its draft lineup. The beer is an American Pale Ale at 6.0% ABV, released to mark the opening of WCB’s restaurant-bar of the same name in Tokyo Midtown Roppongi. Its profile brings together sweet tropical aromas with citrus, grape, melon, and piney, dank notes.

What Else Is On Tap

The lineup around it covers a broad range of styles. Derailleur Brew Works’ “WC IPA” is a clear, classic IPA-leaning option with firm bitterness. Sakura Taps × Numazu Craft’s “Yoshida-machi Helles 2026” offers a floral, herbal take on a Helles lager. Shirosuzume’s “Akane” is a fruit wheat ale built around strawberry character. Also on tap are Zakkoku Koubou’s “Ogawa Porter,” West Coast Brewing’s “Freestyle Sandbox Vol.8,” Shirosuzume’s “Sentaku Biyori,” and Noboribetsu Beer Oni-Densetsu × HOP TAP SHOP’s “Shin Oni Gunso IPA,” giving drinkers a lineup that moves from lager and dark beer to hazy and hop-forward styles.
