Eight beers on tap at Sakura Taps
Sakura Taps, a beer pub in Hanazaki-cho, Yokohama, published its draft lineup for October 20. The post, titled “撃ち抜きもとむ!”—a call for guests to finish the kegs—said the previous day had been quiet after the Noge Festival. That quieter pace allowed the staff to spend more time talking with individual guests.
The lineup featured eight beers. “Aoni-style,” brewed by Onidensetsu with Spice & Booze, is a pilsner made with Motueka and Nelson Sauvin hops, offering white-grape-like aromatics, citrus notes, and balanced bitterness. Minoh Beer’s “Kansha 29” is a commemorative Rice IPA with a light body from rice and expressive American hop aromas.
“Pale Ale” from Gujo Hachiman Beer Kobokobo brings a drinkable profile with grapefruit-like hop character. Paint Palette Brewing’s “Chromatic Blast” and Faló Brewing’s “KAERU” were also available.
“Serrano Saison,” made by Gogoshima Beer Farm, Enchan Farm, and Hatakeyurai, combines the clean heat of serrano peppers with saison yeast spice and hop aroma. Miyazaki Hideji Beer’s “Kuri Kuro” is an imperial stout brewed with roasted barley and chestnut paste, delivering coffee-like roast, refined chestnut fragrance, and a rich body.
The final tap was Totopia Brewery’s “Stopphobia.” Sakura Taps noted that this beer was running low, making it one of the taps to check first.
Sakura Taps is located on Noyaneko-dori in Yokohama’s Yoshidamachi area, where guests can enjoy craft beer, seasonal food, and music in a relaxed setting. Tap availability changes, so visitors should check the latest list before ordering.
