TAP ROOM 99 in Chiba to Pour 99 Hoppy Lager for 2nd Anniversary Event
TAP ROOM 99 in Chiba’s Chuo Ward will hold its 2nd anniversary event from September 4 to 6. The lineup includes KANKIKU BREWERY’s limited beer, 99 Hoppy Lager, plus seasonal food and anniversary-only offerings.
TAP ROOM 99 is KANKIKU BREWERY’s direct taproom in Chiba City, where the brewery’s draft beer can be enjoyed fresh from the source. For its 2nd anniversary event, running from September 4 to 6, the venue will tap the limited beer 99 Hoppy Lager. Its base beer, 99 Lager, has already earned recognition in the pale lager category at Japan Brewers Cup 2026, and the anniversary version adds a more hop-forward aroma to the beer’s easy-drinking character.
During the event, craft beer will be available at all-you-can-choose pricing of 550 yen per glass. The program also includes six anniversary-only food items, a gacha lottery for customers who order special food, a talk session with head brewer Kazuhiko Matsuo at 9:00 p.m. on September 5, a rock-paper-scissors contest, and original sticker giveaways.
Food fans will also find a separate seasonal menu from September 1 to 30, featuring a seasonal salad, fig fritters with jamón serrano, and maitake mushroom and spinach mentaiko pizza. These limited dishes will be paused during the anniversary event, so timing matters if you want to focus on the food.
The venue’s 12 taps, counter seating, and sofa seating give it a relaxed, hideaway feel. With Chiba-grown ingredients on the plate and fresh beer from the brewery in the glass, TAP ROOM 99 works well for solo visits and small groups alike. A later-month release set with a new beer and snacks is also planned, so September will stay busy here.
