Shiga Kogen Beer "Snow Monkey IPA" and Viburnum Arrive at Keisei Koiwa Craft Sake Shop
In a March 27 post, the beer pub Keisei Koiwa Craft Sake Shop (kkcb) in Kitakoiwa, Edogawa City, Tokyo announced the arrival of guest beers. In addition to Shiga Kogen Beer’s "Snow Monkey IPA" and the Vattere x Inkhorn collaboration "Viburnum," it also introduced Sri Lankan pork curry.
Tokyo, Edogawa City, Kitakoiwa's Keisei Koiwa Craft Sake Shop (kkcb) announced the arrival of guest beers in an Instagram post on March 27. As the name suggests, it is a beer pub centered on craft beer, and the posted photos suggest a relaxed atmosphere, with the kitchen visible over the counter.
The highlights of the day were Shiga Kogen Beer’s "Snow Monkey IPA" and "Viburnum," the collaboration beer from Vattere / Inkhorn Brewing. IPA fans will likely want to look forward to the sharpness of the former, while the latter offers the appeal of a limited-release beer created by two breweries working together. Since it is being introduced as a guest beer, it is aimed at people who want to enjoy something special for the day in addition to the regular lineup.
For food, there is Sri Lankan pork curry. It is described as using curry leaves, Ceylon cinnamon, cloves, and the sourness of goraka, and the pork is said to be cooked after being marinated in brine. The price is 800 yen. Because it is a dish with clear spice character, it should pair well with an IPA that brings out hop aroma, as well as with a distinctive collaboration beer.
As for business hours, it will be open from 5:30 p.m. on March 27 until 1:00 a.m. the following day. The post also announced that on Sunday, March 29, they will hold an "impromptu hanami" at Koiwa Park. It is one spot worth remembering for anyone who wants to casually enjoy beer and food around the Keisei Koiwa area.
