Northern Brew, based in Abira, Hokkaido, will hold “Beer School Endeavour Class” at Endeavour in Yukawa-cho, Hakodate City, on May 31. The event will let participants learn about the history of beer while experiencing part of the brewing process, and a tasting that connects the shop’s beer with two beers from Northern Brew is also planned for the day.
Northern Brew will hold “Beer School Endeavour Class” on Sunday, May 31, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The venue is Endeavour, 1-26-24 Yukawa-cho, Hakodate City. In an Instagram post, brewer Hatakeyama shared that he would be holding Beer School at the shop, expressed gratitude for providing the venue, and conveyed a wish to spend time with participants.
The event is designed as a learning experience in which participants will study the history of beer while experiencing part of the beer-making process. In addition, on the day, attendees are expected to enjoy a tasting that links Yukawa Brewery’s beer with Northern Brew’s TAP1 (Hazy IPA) and full throttle (energy beer), making it a chance to appreciate the differences in flavor through side-by-side comparison. Those who wish to participate will need to check the details and application form attached to the post.
Northern Brew is based in Abira, Hokkaido, and its official website says that it offers original craft beer made with oats from Abira as well as imported craft beer, and that visitors can also enjoy sports broadcasts and public viewing inside the shop. With eight craft beers available at all times and BBQ dishes paired with beer, this event is drawing attention as a program that adds the fun of both “learning” and “drinking,” rather than just drinking alone.
