Fujisawa-based AMATERASU BREWERY will take part in 'Umichika Marche - Sea, Craft Beer and More -' at HUG-RIDE PARK in Kugenumakaigan on June 13-14. The event brings together local breweries, food vendors and live music for an early-summer weekend by the sea.
AMATERASU BREWERY is a craft brewery based in Fujisawa, Kanagawa. In its Instagram post, the brewery announced that it will take part in 'Umichika Marche - Sea, Craft Beer and More -' at HUG-RIDE PARK in Kugenumakaigan on June 13 and 14.
According to the post, this will be the event's fifth edition. The two-day gathering brings together 13 breweries and 16 food vendors from the Shonan area, along with a live performance program called SHONAN MUSIC MARCHE featuring local artists. The format is straightforward: enjoy craft beer, food and music while looking out over the sea.
The post also describes the market as a popular local event that draws around 4,000 people a day, which helps explain why it has become a familiar fixture in the area. For a brewery rooted in Fujisawa, joining a beachside event like this creates another way for its beers to be enjoyed outside the usual taproom setting, with the coastal atmosphere adding a different kind of context to each pour.
For beer fans, the appeal is not only the lineup but also the setting. HUG-RIDE PARK offers an easy stop for a weekend outing, and the combination of local breweries, food and live music gives the event a clear Shonan identity.
