North Island Beer, based in Ebetsu, Hokkaido, will release the limited beer 'Ginzy (Ginzy)' on April 10. This beer was named by a visitor who won the naming rights at the brewery's 16th anniversary celebration. Its style is Hazy I.P.A.. The ABV is 6%, and the hops used are Luminosa, Strata, and Simcoe.

North Island Beer was founded by a brewer who trained in Canada, and under the banner of 'Beer is Art,' it offers not only five core beers but also limited and seasonal releases. Its lineup is also characterized by beers that highlight the connection to Hokkaido's ingredients and land, such as a weizen made with wheat from Ebetsu and limited brews that make use of Hokkaido-grown hops.

'Ginzy' inherits that brewery philosophy while combining an event-born name with the contemporary style of a Hazy IPA. North Island Beer's limited brews often reflect seasonality and local character, and this new release is drawing attention as another addition to that tradition. The release date is April 10, 2026.
