Craft Beer Kitchen Kokoro no Tsuki, on the second floor in Miyakawacho, Yokohama, announced the tap list for Wednesday, May 27. The shop opens from 3:00 p.m., and its style of pairing craft beer with Chinese dishes is very much its signature.

The lineup for the day featured six beers with personalities from Japan and abroad. The first pour was Radiant Beer "Mind Gardens", followed by Taihu Brewing "Taihu IPA". From Hokkaido's Hop Kotan Brewing came two rye-based beers, "Iki na Haka Rye" and "Misty Way". On the domestic side, Nara Brewing "Spiral" also appeared, along with Echoes Brewing "The Wave", which evokes Taiwan's craft beer scene.

Kokoro no Tsuki is a beer pub a short walk from Hinodecho Station. With the kitchen and seating area close together, one of its charms is being able to choose beers while feeling the presence of the food being prepared. Centered on Chinese dishes, it offers beer-friendly plates such as steamed chicken with green Sichuan pepper and green onion sauce, deep-fried eggplant with ginger soy sauce, mapo tofu, Shanghai-style fried noodles, shrimp mayo, and drool-inducing wontons.

In that day's post, the shop introduced itself as offering "a happy moment with clear beer and Chinese food." It seems like a place best suited to people who want to savor the contours of the beer and its pairing with the food rather than flashiness.
