At MANGOSTEEN in Daizawa, Setagaya, Tokyo, the hands-on event "Tokyo Manchin Doki Club Vol. 3" will be held. One of the event's defining features is that, while it has the easygoing feel of a beer pub, you can also enjoy time spent making things.

This time, it will take place on Wednesday, May 3 (national holiday) in two sessions: the day session from 14:00 to 18:00 and the night session from 19:00 to 21:00. The program is pottery-making, in which participants create a small cup called a "copita" while drinking mezcal. The participation fee is 4,400 yen (materials and firing included). No pottery experience is required, and walk-ins are also accepted. The finished vessels will be taken back to Yamanashi and fired in a wood kiln, and participants will receive their completed pieces about one month later.

On the same day, there will also be an all-you-can-pack offer for fully ripened tomatoes from Hokuto City, which guests can take home. No reservation is required, and it costs 1,000 yen per round. In addition, "Red Eye" will debut as a new beer from Manchin, along with a suggested "extra tomato" addition at the venue so guests can adjust it to their preferred intensity.

From the experience of kneading clay, to the heft of the tomatoes, to the way to drink the new beer, it all comes together in a very Manchin-style mix of "food, alcohol, and handwork." Viewing is free, so it looks like it could be an especially interesting day for beer fans as well.
