The beer pub torne_craftbeer in Sugae-cho, Kita Ward, Osaka, held its new event "Taproom Cinema Club ~Film, Sound & Craft Beer~" on March 20. The venue is the shop's taproom. In the announcement, it is positioned not merely as "drinking while watching a movie," but as a session where film, sound, and beer are experienced as one unified event.

The event begins around 4:00 PM, once preparations are complete. The first screening is the documentary film 'Anvil! The Story of Anvil'. In addition to projector screening, the program combines sound rebuilt through the shop's in-house audio system, aiming for a space different from both a movie theater and a typical bar screening. Talking during the screening is also allowed, making for a pub-like, highly freeform viewing style.

On the beer side, the lineup is centered on domestic craft beers, with some overseas labels mixed in. Brands such as Novel Craft Brewing, Minoh Beer, Himitsu Beer, and Inkhorn Brewing are featured, including collaboration beers and nitro versions. Specifically, the lineup includes Signal, Mugicha Bitter nitro ver., LMabu-Dachi Saison, Doron, 1978, Bosu-Zaru IPA nitro ver., FUZZ, Yuzu Wheat Ale, Helles Dr.Lunz, Mohua 2026, and Lapsang Souchong Tea Lambiek.

The venue's appeal lies in its local, close-knit feel in the Tenjimbashisuji Rokuchome area, along with its editorial sensibility that crosses music, video, and craft beer. Even on days when no event is being held, it is a place worth watching as a stay-awhile spot built around its tap list and food.
