A guest beer update came in from Beer O'clock, the beer pub in Fujimi, Chiba. In its April 18 post, the bar noted that it operates on Saturdays from 12:00 to 23:30 without a break, and introduced two new taps.
Guest beers on tap
- Oni Densetsu "Kin-Oni Pale Ale ADHA-218 Single Ver."
- Style: American Pale Ale, alcohol content: 5.5%. The beer is described as offering aromas reminiscent of berries and mango, layered with banana-like nuances and a soft citrus character. The overall aroma is not overly intense, while the bitterness comes through clearly. Its defining feature is said to be a full-bodied mouthfeel.
- TEENAGE "Disk Echo"
- Imperial Stout w/ Coffee, alcohol content: 11.0%. This is a collaboration with ONIW COFFEE, roasted by toe guitarist Takaaki Mino, using anaerobic natural beans from Chiang Rai, Thailand. It reportedly has flavors reminiscent of cacao and bitter chocolate, along with a subtle acidity and depth.
Beer O'clock is known as a beer pub that's easy to reach from Chiba Station and Chiba-Chuo Station, and it's a place where following tap changes is part of the fun. You can relax and drink inside the shop, and on days when it stays open continuously from afternoon into the night, it's also appealing as a place to take your time and enjoy beer with a meal. This lineup pairs a pale ale that highlights hop aroma with a dense, coffee-driven stout, making for an interesting side-by-side comparison.
The post from that day also mentioned "Talkover coffee fes," which was being held around the same time at Chiba Park Shibaniwa, showing how craft beer can be enjoyed alongside city events. A drink at Beer O'clock is the kind that invites you to take your time, checking how the aroma opens up and how the body differs from beer to beer.
