Beer O'clock Taps Be Easy’s Iwakisan no Aki and Yokohama Bay Brewing’s Bay Hell
Beer O'clock, a craft beer pub in Chiba, has tapped two new beers: Be Easy’s smoked lager Iwakisan no Aki and Yokohama Bay Brewing’s Munich-style Helles, Bay Hell.
Beer O'clock, a beer pub in Fujimi, Chiba City, has announced two new taps for craft beer fans.
The first is Be Easy’s “Iwakisan no Aki,” a 6.0% smoked lager. Pleasant smoke aromas meet floral and citrus notes from Pacifica hops grown in New Zealand. Its dry finish and smoky character make it a seasonal beer suited to a relaxed afternoon or evening pint.
The second new tap is “Bay Hell” from Yokohama Bay Brewing. Brewed as part of the brewery’s 15th-anniversary “BAY HELL” lineup, this Munich-style Helles has an ABV of 4.5%. Built around Hersbrucker hops and a total of five hop varieties, it balances a malty flavor with a smooth, easy-drinking body. The beer was developed with the aim of creating a lager drinkable by the three-liter measure.
The post also introduces Bauernfrühstück, a German-style potato omelet made with potatoes from Samba Farm, bacon from Meister Togane-ya, free-range eggs from Omatsu Farm, and house-made garlic butter. The savory dish should pair naturally with both the smoky lager and the clean Helles.
Beer O'clock is also running BeerO'ctoberfest from October 2 through October 18, giving guests a chance to enjoy seasonal beer and German-inspired food at the Chiba pub.
