The beer to check out around the city center of Takamatsu's Uchimachi, where the OHLOY STORE brewpub is located, is OHLOY BREWING's 'Riso'. This new `Rice Lager w/ Hassaku` has an ABV of 5.0% and was released as a beer celebrating azuki.'s first anniversary.

At the core of this beer are the sake rice Kamenoo and hassaku. The Kamenoo used here was grown without fertilizer or pesticides by friends in Tsukuba, Ibaraki, while the hassaku came from abandoned farmland on Shodoshima, where it had become semi-wild, and was carefully pre-processed before brewing. For the aroma hops, Strisselspalt leaf hops were used, adding a layered herbal nuance.

The flavor is designed for a clean finish that works as an easy first drink before a meal or wine, or as something that won't get in the way during a meal. The hassaku flavor lingers on the finish, while the overall impression stays crisp and light. The name 'Riso' means both 'rice' and 'laughter' in Italian, and the label also features a lively illustration reminiscent of azuki.'s interior. Like OHLOY STORE, it's a guest beer that seems especially well suited to a place where you can enjoy a drink while taking in the atmosphere of the neighborhood.
