Rikuzentakata Microbrewery has begun selling a limited set centered on its popular "Ipponmatsu Ale" brand. This time, the lineup combines "Ipponmatsu Ale Black," brewed as a crowdfunding reward, with the regular "Ipponmatsu Ale," and it is being shipped free of charge for a limited time only.

The brewery is a brewpub in Kesen-cho, Rikuzentakata City, Iwate Prefecture. Its appeal lies in its style of brewing beer locally and delivering the pleasure of drinking it as-is. On March 11, an online "Ipponmatsu Ale" event was also held, inspired by last year’s crowdfunding campaign, connecting bases across Japan for an introduction to the project and a toast.

The set comes in two versions, so you can choose according to your needs. One is a beer-only set, and the other is a set that includes a glass. Both are limited in quantity, making them suitable both for people who want to casually enjoy a side-by-side tasting and for those looking for a gift.

The beers themselves have distinct personalities. The regular "Ipponmatsu Ale" is a robust English IPA inspired by the land and sea. In contrast, "Ipponmatsu Ale Black" is a Black IPA that lets you enjoy malt character and fruity aromas. Because the styles differ so clearly, the fun of comparing the same brand side by side really stands out.

This set lets you taste the memory of Rikuzentakata alongside the character of craft beer. Whether it is the kind of beer you enjoy slowly at home or the kind you share with someone else, it is a memorable offering. You can purchase it through the online store and the profile link.
