At Bankan, a beer pub in Koenji Minami 3-chome, an event centered on Nara Brewing's "INTEGRAL B" will be held on May 2. According to the announcement, pairing dishes by chef Satoshi Nakashima will be served alongside the beer, which won silver in the strong beer category at this year's Japan Brewers Cup.

"INTEGRAL B" is one of the bottles in Nara Brewing's "N BOTTLE CONDITIONED" series. It is a Brett saison made with Brett yeast and has an ABV of 9.0%. The beer is designed so that its wild aroma, spicy outline, moderate acidity, and dry finish layer together, changing character with each sip.

Bankan is basically a draft-focused bar, but the highlight of this event is that "INTEGRAL B" will be available by the glass. For beer lovers, being able to try a bottle-only release from a glass in the atmosphere of the bar is a welcome opportunity.

Satoshi Nakashima, who is in charge of the food, is a chef who also created the pairing menu for Nara Brewing's tap takeover in February. The dishes are expected to complement, rather than interfere with, the beer's aroma and finish. It looks set to be a night for anyone in Koenji who wants to savor the combination of craft beer and food at a relaxed pace.
