Bankan, a beer pub in Koenji, will host a Brasserie Knot Tap Take Over from Friday, Sept. 4 through Sunday, Sept. 6. The Instagram post publishes the day’s tap list and frames the event as a chance to compare a wide range of beers from Brasserie Knot in Tsurui, Hokkaido.

On tap

- MOSETSURI / Summer Ale
- AWA / Helles
- FLOWER / Belgian Wit
- KOURO / English Mild Ale
- BIRD / Pale Ale
- HARBOR / Session IPA
- WIND / IPA
- DOTO / Belgian IPA
- TIP / New Zealand IPA
- NORA / Rye IPA
- JIRI / Hazy IPA
- MOON / DIPA
- MITSU / Honey Porter

The lineup includes the brewery’s standard beers and DOTO, described in the post as a rare core beer sold only in the Doto area. Bankan says it went directly to the brewery in Tsurui to secure the beer, and that two kegs were prepared after the beer sold out quickly last year. That makes this a strong stop for drinkers who want both variety and a limited pour in one place.

Food will also be part of the program. On Sept. 4-5, Satoshi will serve creative dishes made with Kushiro ingredients, and on Sept. 6, mi-mucho will present obanzai using the same regional produce. It is a straightforward beer-and-food event, and a good fit for Bankan’s relaxed pub setting in Koenji.
