Tochigi's Mashiko Town-based Mingel Farmhouse beer & bread / ミンゲル shared updates on its new and existing beers on Instagram. The main focus of the post was #22 "Shiawase Mono". The style is IPL, and the alcohol content is 4.5%.

According to Mingel, IPL is "a new style born from the modern craft beer scene." It is presented as a beer that builds on the clean malt flavor and gentle sweetness typical of lager beer, while softly yet sharply layering in tropical fruit, berry notes, and dank impressions reminiscent of IPA. The beer name comes from Fishmans' "Shiawase Mono".

The same post also marked the return of the flagship "Turn! Turn! Turn!", which had been sold out. This is a Hoppy Saison with Bread, at 5% ABV. Mingel says it uses bread that would otherwise go to waste from its bakery, giving the beer a smooth mouthfeel from the bread, along with saison-like dryness and spice, while the hops bring out aromas of white grape and lychee.

Mingel is a Mashiko brewery known for building its identity around bread and beer. This time, by placing the new IPL and the return of the flagship beer side by side, the post shows where the brewery stands now. In the busy period before the pottery fair, it neatly introduced two beers that are perfect for hot weather.
