KBL THE GARAGE (Umekoji) announced on its official Instagram that it will host “Kyoto Beer Lab Spring Open Brewery 2026.” The venue is the shop itself, and as the second location of Kyoto Beer Lab, a driving force in Kyoto’s craft beer scene, it aims to offer an experience close to the brewing floor.

The focus this time is “tasting beer in the middle of maturation.” According to the post, long-aged and bottle-conditioned beers are scheduled to be unveiled for the first time on this day. Rather than drinking them at the finished stage, guests will taste them before completion and learn about the intent behind the brewing and how the flavor changes after aging, making this more than a simple tasting session and turning it into a chance to enjoy the “process itself.”

The explanation will be given by head brewer Jeff, with English accompanied by Japanese subtitles. In the latter half of the event, in addition to craft beer tastings, pairings with game meat are also planned. The post notes that there are only a few seats left, so anyone interested should check early.
