KAMIKATZ Beer, the brewpub in Kamikatsu Town, Tokushima, has released its seasonal beer, Beyond the Sea. In its Instagram post, the brewery says the beer is back after being on pause last year, answering the many requests from drinkers who wanted it again.
Beyond the Sea is a gose brewed with plenty of Iyokan from Ehime and Yuko from Kamikatsu. Its gentle lactic acidity is layered with Tokushima sea salt, giving the beer a mineral edge and a clean, refreshing finish. At 4.5% ABV, it is designed to be easy to drink in warm weather.
The beer also won gold at The International Beer Cup 2024. The brewery suggests pouring it over crushed ice for an even brighter, more refreshing experience. It is also recommended with ethnic dishes, seafood, and fried foods.
KAMIKATZ Beer is a brewpub rooted in Kamikatsu’s zero-waste philosophy. Alongside beer made with local ingredients from Tokushima, the venue also serves grilled dishes using regional vegetables. It is a place where the story of the mountain town and the beer in the glass come together naturally.
