Featured Beer
"Iwakisan no Haru" is an American IPA / 5.5%. In the post, it is introduced as the latest release in a seasonal series themed around Mount Iwaki.
The malt bill combines Pilsner malt, wheat, and a small amount of Caramel Pils. The base is light, with a design intended to make it easy to keep drinking as spring approaches. The hops used are Nelson Sauvin, Waimea, Motueka, and Peacharine from Freestyle, plus Motueka Hop Kief. While layering the aroma, the hop charge is intentionally kept moderate to maintain balance.
Why It Is Worth Enjoying at the Bar
Aomori Brew Pub is a brewpub where you can relax and enjoy local craft beer. One of its appeals is the timely rotation of seasonal beers with clearly defined brewery character, like this one. As a beer to enjoy on the way into cherry blossom season, being able to taste an IPA that aims for both brightness and drinkability inside the bar is not something beer fans will want to miss.
If you're following guest beers, it's a good idea to check the current tap list and visit early.
