West Coast Pilsner and Fresh Hop Blonde Open at Hathor
CraftBeerSpot Hathor in Kyobashi, Osaka, has opened two draft beers: Ise Kadoya Beer’s West Coast Pilsner and Shiga Kogen Beer’s Fresh Hop Blonde Real Ale ver. The pair highlights hop bitterness, drinkability, and the seasonal character of fresh hops.
CraftBeerSpot Hathor, a beer pub in Kyobashi, Osaka, has announced two newly opened drafts. The venue is known for its 16 taps, craft beer selection, and house-smoked food, making this lineup well suited to both tasting and food pairing.
West Coast Pilsner / Ise Kadoya Beer
This beer pours a light gold with a slight haze. Its aroma combines citrus, tropical fruit, pine, and spice, along with a subtle sulfur note. The palate is crisp and snappy, with firm bitterness and a clean, dry finish. Hop aromatics linger pleasantly from the back of the throat through the nose.
Designed with drinkability in mind, it offers more hop character than a conventional pilsner while remaining easy to drink alongside food.
Fresh Hop Blonde Real Ale ver / Shiga Kogen Beer
This seasonal beer uses homegrown Cascade hops harvested on brew day and added immediately as aromatic hops. It is a bright blonde ale with a light, clean profile and a gentle softness on the palate.
Grapefruit and lemon-like citrus notes are joined by a distinctive sweetness that may come from the malt. Served as a real ale, it offers a softer texture and lets the vivid, freshly harvested hop character come forward.
The West Coast Pilsner is the choice for crisp bitterness and a dry finish, while the Fresh Hop Blonde delivers a more seasonal, delicate expression of hops. At Hathor, tasting both with the pub’s smoked dishes would make for a well-balanced beer stop in Kyobashi.
