The beer pub Craft Beer Kitchen Kokoro no Tsuki in Miyakawacho, Yokohama, has released its tap list for March 25. The lineup features beers from Chuckanut Brewery, Nara Brewing, Hop Kotan Brewing, Repubrew, and Georgetown Brewing, offering a selection that pairs well with food.
On March 25, Craft Beer Kitchen Kokoro no Tsuki updated its tap list, opening from 3:00 p.m. True to a beer pub on the second floor in Miyakawacho, Naka Ward, Yokohama, Kanagawa, the lineup centered on beer while also keeping food pairings in mind.
That day’s selection included `Chuckanut Brewery`'s `Bock`, `奈良醸造`'s `Under Water`, `忽布古丹醸造`'s `青嵐`, `Repubrew`'s `Flash Hop IPA`, `Georgetown Brewing`'s `Johnny Utah`, and `忽布古丹醸造`'s `Fiction`. It ranged from a calm, lager-leaning pour to hop-forward IPAs and approachable labels, making it easy to choose according to your mood.
On the food side, the menu included steamed chicken with green sansho and scallion sauce, fried eggplant with ginger soy sauce, mapo tofu, Shanghai-style fried noodles, ginger chicken, candied nuts, steamed chicken and cilantro green sansho salad, stir-fried green onions and egg, shrimp mayo, and drool-worthy wontons. With many dishes drawing on Chinese influences, they are easy to enjoy alongside beer’s bitterness, aroma, and malt depth.
Kokoro no Tsuki is the kind of place where you come not to drink heavily, but to take your time and savor the pairing with food. Watching the taps and choosing your beer for the day is part of the fun. If you’re looking for craft beer in Yokohama’s Hinodecho area, this is one to check out.
