New tap in Shimokitazawa

On August 7, Beer Bar Festa Shimokitazawa announced a new keg: Shonan Beer's "Shonan Beer IPA American Style." The bar described it as a crisp, bitter American-style IPA, a good fit for hot-weather drinking.

What is on tap

The venue sits about two minutes from Shimokitazawa Station's central exit and offers 12 rotating draft taps plus two Dartslive machines. Counter seats make it easy for solo visits, while table seating works well for a small group. It also keeps about 30 bottled beers on hand.

The draft list for the day included Y Market "Purple Jet Sky," Hojou "Stout," Yokohama Beer "Weizen," Setouchi "Dunkel," T.Y. Harbor "Kanpai West Coast Pilsner," and the regular beer Heartland. Imported options included Revision "Revision DIPA," De Dochter du Ciel "Moralite," Division "Disco Ninja IPA," and DDC! "Rosé Dibiiscus."

Open late

Through the end of August, the bar is extending last orders until 4:00 a.m. on Thursdays through Saturdays. It is the kind of place where you can drop in after work and still work through Japanese and imported draft beers well into the night.
