Kochi Beer Laboratory Taps Fujiyama Hunter's Beer "Mori no Tane Kuromoji Saison"
Kochi Beer Laboratory in Otesuji, Kochi City, announced in an Instagram post on April 22 that it had tapped Fujiyama Hunter's Beer’s "Mori no Tane Kuromoji Saison." A guest beer has joined a bar known for careful pours and a tap lineup centered on Shikoku breweries.
Kochi Beer Laboratory is a beer pub on 55th Street in Otesuji, Kochi City. The lab-like space, marked by white walls and stainless steel, is known as a place that pours beer with care while rotating about five or six taps, mainly featuring breweries from Shikoku.
In an Instagram post on April 22, the bar announced that the guest beer Fujiyama Hunter's Beer "Mori no Tane Kuromoji Saison" was now on tap. The ABV is 5.0%, and the post also said "open as usual today," suggesting it can be enjoyed during business hours from 16:00 to 22:00.
What makes Kochi Beer Laboratory interesting is that it is not just a place to drink rare labels. Because the owner pays close attention to the pour and even the gas pressure, the individuality of guest beers is more likely to come through in the glass as-is. The lineup, which is built around local and Shikoku brewers while naturally welcoming beers from outside the prefecture as well, gives a strong sense of a beer pub with real breadth.
This pour already suggests its aroma from the name alone: a saison featuring kuromoji. In the lab-like atmosphere, it seems like a good reason to stop by for anyone looking for a light guest beer that pairs easily with a meal, either before or after eating.
