Beer House Hobbit, the beer pub in Kawaramachi, Hirakata City, Osaka Prefecture, announced its business lineup for March 26. In its post, the pub highlighted "donabe mixed rice" and "fresh-picked vegetables" as the theme for the day, suggesting pairings of beer and food.

There will be six draft beers. The lineup consists of AOSORA Refresh Lager, a Beer House Hobbit x Shima Brewing (Mie) collaboration; Strike Pilsner from Shimanami Brewery (Hiroshima); Honyuzu Saison from Kumazawa Sake Brewery (Shonan Beer / Kanagawa); Weizen from Swan Lake Beer (Niigata); Nomcraft IPA from Nomcraft Brewing (Wakayama); and Session Citra White from Hirakata Beer (Osaka). It is a selection that makes it easy to compare aromas and body across lager, pilsner, saison, weizen, IPA, and white styles.

Food items include the limited-quantity "donabe takikomi gohan (clay-pot mixed rice) with burdock root and chicken thigh" served from 8 p.m. In addition, there will be dishes geared toward beer such as fresh-picked vegetable salad, "eggplant & snap pea beer fritters," grilled Japanese beef rump steak served as a salad, and fried chicken thigh with sweet chili and yogurt sauce.

As for the business schedule, March 27 will be a private booking from 6 to 9 p.m. (regular service outside those hours), and March 28 is planned for "beer & curry." With a local Hirakata pour included, it is the kind of lineup worth checking out if you want to enjoy draft beer and seasonal food at the same time.
