A summer-friendly tap list in Nara

Bar Fiddich, located in Minamimachi, Nara, is a beer pub that keeps three draft beers on hand, making it a natural stop for drinkers who want to slow down and focus on the glass in front of them. In the latest post from the bar, Fuji Sakura Kogen Beer’s “Sakuranotoriko Kanade” is being opened, alongside Y.Market Brewing’s “JUNION” and Minoh Beer’s “Grapefruit Sour.”

What Sakuranotoriko Kanade tastes like

“Sakuranotoriko Kanade” is the third collaboration beer from Fuji Sakura Kogen Beer and FC Fujizakura Yamanashi. It is a fruit weizen built on a weizen base, with Shine Muscat bringing a gentle sweetness and Shonan Gold adding citrus lift. The beer comes in at 5.0% ABV and 13 IBU, so the profile is set up for an easy drink rather than a heavy finish.

The collaborative angle is also a big part of the beer’s appeal. The players were involved in idea development, brewing, and bottling, and the label was designed by player Yumiko Tsujino. That background gives the beer a clear story: it is meant to be approachable, seasonal, and easy to connect with whether you are a craft beer regular or someone looking for a lighter fruit-forward option.

Two more fruit-driven options

The same post also mentions “JUNION,” a sake-yeast ale made with rice flour, white koji, and lychee, and Minoh Beer’s “Grapefruit Sour,” a tart, refreshing sour ale built around plenty of grapefruit. Put together, the lineup covers three different directions: fruit wheat beer, sake-inspired ale, and citrus sour.

That mix fits Bar Fiddich well. In a calm bar setting, beers like these reward slower drinking, letting you catch the fruit aroma, the sweetness, and the acidity as the beer warms slightly in the glass. For Nara beer drinkers, it is a neat snapshot of what a guest-beer rotation can do when the selection leans bright and seasonal.
