Beer Stand Amberlond in Honcho, Aoba Ward, Sendai, will open at 3:00 p.m. on April 1. From 4/1 to 4/10, it will run a spring promotion pairing limited German dishes from Neumarkt with German-style beer, and it is also announcing an event featuring FARO BREWING on 4/12.
The beer pub Beer Stand Amberlond in Honcho, Sendai, will start business from 3:00 p.m. on April 1. In a post, the shop called on people to enjoy "delicious craft beer for grown-up after-school hours" to mark the start of the fiscal year, and announced several spring-themed plans.
Spring German Gourmet Fair from 4/1 to 4/10
The first announcement is the "Spring German Gourmet Fair" running from April 1 to 10. It features a limited menu from Neumarkt, which operates a food truck in Sendai, paired with German-style beers selected by the owner. The food lineup includes Krakauer, beef round goulash, Leberkäse with salad, a naan dog with two kinds of grilled sausage, and Weisswurst. On April 3, Mr. Watanabe from Neumarkt will take over the kitchen for a special service day.
"NOMI NO ICHI" on 4/12
Another pillar is the event "NOMI NO ICHI" from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on April 12. The venue is Amberlond in Honcho, and `@falobrewing` will participate as a guest. The concept is a "flea market of beer goods" to enjoy while drinking beer, and the inside of the shop will be standing-room-oriented with fewer chairs. In time for the spring cherry-blossom viewing season, the space is likely to be one where beer, snacks, and beer goods circulate.
On the day, five draft beers from FARO BREWING and several cans are planned, and the draft lineup includes "Faro Tsubame Draft," "Faro KURENAI RED IPA," "Faro CHONK D-IPA," "Faro's new release!," and "Faro's new release!!" In addition, selections from the shop's own stock are expected to be served.
A Small Honcho Beer Pub's Way to Use It
Amberlond is a beer pub on the first floor at 2-13-11 Honcho, Aoba Ward, Sendai. From the post, the shop gives off an open-to-the-street atmosphere, with sunlight streaming into the interior and service expanding out to the outside as well. It seems like a place that is easy to use whether for a day of serious food and beer or a day of discovering new breweries and goods at events.
The shop is also recruiting part-time staff. For people who can drink and like beer, and people who enjoy eating, it is advertising jobs such as floor service, beer serving, and prep assistance. As a base supporting Sendai's craft beer scene, it seems poised to strengthen its presence on both the business and event sides.
