The island factory marks its first anniversary
Teshima Factory in Tonosho, Kagawa, celebrated its first anniversary on April 2. On Instagram, the team expressed gratitude for the ongoing visits and support, and announced that it had prepared a "1st anniversary only" service at the shop that day.
Teshima Factory is a complex facility on Teshima, a small island in the Seto Inland Sea, with a dining hall and brewery under one roof. In a feature by Colocal, it is positioned as a place that puts the island's ingredients front and center, and its original craft beer, "Lull Beer," is brewed with the gentle passage of time on Teshima in mind.
In this post, the shop said it had prepared complimentary items to enjoy alongside lunch, craft beer, and coffee, turning the day into a celebration where guests could spend time pairing food with a drink. It also announced the April closing days, listing Tuesdays the 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th as closed.
Teshima is an island about 40 minutes by ferry from Kagawa Prefecture and Okayama Prefecture. Making use of ingredients and atmosphere nurtured on the island, it will continue into its second year as a base connecting everyday food and beer.
