A Project Timed to Fermentable Dietary Fiber Day

In conjunction with May 18, "Fermentable Dietary Fiber Awareness Day," HOME/WORK VILLAGE will host the "KINNOE518 Festival" from May 16 through June 14. Centered on KINNOE, a specialty shop for fermentable dietary fiber, the event offers an easy way to experience gut health through venue-wide strolling and limited-edition menu items.

Afterschool Brewery Joins In

The venue, Afterschool Brewery, is a craft beer brewery set up in the former staff room of the old Ikejiri Junior High School. Its concept is "after-school activities for adults." At the taproom, you can enjoy freshly brewed beer, along with non-alcoholic options such as light meals and smoothies. With roughly 16 to 24 seats inside and 16 to 18 on the terrace, it offers a relaxed and spacious setup. Inside a multi-purpose complex that still carries traces of the school, it is also well suited for casually dropping in for a drink.

What Pairs Well With a Pint

According to the facility's guidance, Afterschool Brewery serves not only beer from its on-site brewery but also a curated selection of guest beers. During this festival period, seven stores within HOME/WORK VILLAGE will also offer collaboration menu items featuring fermentable dietary fiber, making it easy to enjoy beer and food together.

What Beer Fans Should Watch For

What makes this brewery stand out is that it is not just about drinking, but about taking part in an event that combines food and learning. In Ikejiri-Ohashi, craft beer and fermentable dietary fiber are brought to the same table. The charm of Afterschool Brewery lies in that kind of "after-school" way of spending time.
