MATSURI BREWING in Urayasu, Chiba Prefecture, is featuring its Brut IPA “Nadeshiko - NADESHIKO” on its official online shop. The brand operates a brewpub just a four-minute walk from Urayasu Station and promotes craft beer that is “somehow nostalgic and drinkable,” offering its Festival IPA series and JUICY series.
Nadeshiko is a Brut IPA made with white wine in mind. Its specs are ABV 7.0%, IBU 0, and a 330 ml serving size. It uses Nelson Sauvin and Perle hops, and by replacing part of the malt with glucose, it aims for a light body with less maltiness. According to the official description, the key points are aromas similar to Sauvignon Blanc, hints of muscat grape, and a clean finish with restrained bitterness.
In the brewer's comments, they say they focused on the herbal character one feels when drinking white wine, and revised both the brewing process and enzyme design to achieve an even drier finish. It has already won a silver award in the Freestyle Light Ale category at the JAPAN GREAT BEER AWARDS 2025, and it is a beer that has been refined as one of MATSURI BREWING's regular offerings. It suits occasions as a food-pairing beer when you want to enjoy the aroma without heaviness.
