Craft Beer Sold at the May Festival

Hongo Kikuzakamachi Kamosu, located in Hongo, Bunkyo Ward, Tokyo, will once again sell craft beer at this year’s May Festival. The sales location is Engineering Plaza G11 (in front of Engineering Building No. 6), and the dates are May 16 and 17. As quantities are limited, sales will end once stock runs out.

Lineup

- Ichiyo 2 Golden / Lager
- Kikuzaka Fry Day / IPA
- Akamon 1827 / Irish Red Ale

The post says that the sales will be handled by members of Hongo Brewing Craft Beer, a professional group well-versed in craft beer. With three styles on offer - lager, IPA, and Irish red ale - the lineup makes it easy to compare different flavors side by side.

Also at the Shop on the 16th Night

In addition, members of Hongo Brewing Craft Beer are scheduled to appear at Kamosu’s shop after 6:00 p.m. on May 16. After drinking at the May Festival venue, it looks like there will be a natural flow to head over to the taproom in Hongo.

“Hongo Kikuzakamachi Kamosu” is a brewery that carries the Kikuzaka neighborhood name in its title, serving beer with a close connection to the streets of Hongo, Tokyo. Offering locally made craft beer at an open campus festival should be a chance to convey both the brewery’s character and its local roots at the same time.
