The beer pub TBE Brewing, on the second floor of the Shinbori Guitar Building in Ebisu Minami 2-chome, is announcing its draft lineup for May 13. With about 28 seats, the small shop’s appeal is that you can enjoy around 10 taps of craft beer, mainly from Japanese breweries.

Some labels are listed as low in stock, and the lineup spans a wide range, from pilsner styles to session IPAs, juicy IPAs, hazy IPAs, and stronger IPAs. For craft beer fans, it’s a lineup that makes it easy to compare the differences in each brewer’s character, even within the same IPA style.

As the next candidates, `ブラックタイド / #480 東北プライド`, `志賀高原ビール / カスミ`, `志賀高原ビール / スノーモンキーIPA 銀ラベルver.`, `忽布古丹醸造 / ミスティウェイ`, and `DOGFISH × OXBOW × SHIGAKOGEN / Kind of Gold` are being previewed. In addition to staple favorites, collaboration beers are also on deck, making the next rotation something to look forward to.

Pairings with Food


The day’s casual food specials include wild Indian tuna sashimi, salt-grilled sea bream collars, oven-baked marinated pork spareribs, extra-thick pork ham cutlet, a handmade assorted obanzai platter, grilled Tochio-age with green onions, simmered Hokkaido surf clams, and tomato penne with bacon and zucchini. With a wide range of seafood, meat, and snack-style dishes, it’s easy to pair them with anything from a light lager to a hop-forward IPA.

It’s a place that suits a relaxed drink in Ebisu, where you can really taste the differences between brewers.
