Golden Week Business Hours
Yokohama beer pub Sakura Taps announced its Golden Week business schedule in a post on Monday, April 13. On April 29, May 2, May 3, May 4, and May 6, it will open at 1:00 p.m.; on other weekdays, it will open at 3:00 p.m.; and in all cases it will close at 11:30 p.m. The shop says it will stay open throughout the holiday period, making it convenient for anyone stopping by Yokohama during the long break.
There were no new kegs tapped in this post, but the current draft lineup remains at 8 taps. The selection is as follows.
- Summer's Door / Mugi Zakkoku Kobo
- Yoshidamachi Helles 2026 / Sakura Taps × Numazu Craft
- Triple Cone / West Coast Brewing
- No.03 Yayoi IPA #2 / FARMENTRY
- UNDERWATER :LUMINOUS / Nara Brewing × Kaze no Mori
- ONMEN BRÄU / Baeren × Highbury
- UNDERWATER / Nara Brewing × Kaze no Mori
- Unexpected / Sakura Smoked Workshop × 254 Beer
The aroma profiles also span a wide range. Mugi Zakkoku Kobo's "Summer's Door" is a beer that evokes the light, crisp character of a hoppy saison. West Coast Brewing's "Triple Cone" is a modern IPA-style design that brings citrus and tropical fruit notes to the forefront. Meanwhile, Nara Brewing × Kaze no Mori's "UNDERWATER :LUMINOUS" and "UNDERWATER" seem well suited for a side-by-side comparison born of a collaboration, and Baeren × Highbury's "ONMEN BRÄU" stands out for its distinctive pairing of rauchbier and food culture.
Sakura Taps is known as a calm beer pub that offers both craft beer and coffee, and its second-floor location on Yoshidamachi's Nora Neko Street also makes it easy to settle in while strolling around town. In the April 13 post, it also said that the well-received "prosciutto and potato tartiflette" from its 11th-anniversary week had been remade in limited quantities, so there is no shortage of dishes to pair with the beer.
Heading into Golden Week, the idea is to check out the current 8 taps first and then try the beers that catch the eye, one by one.
