Aura Brewing begins introducing its own craft beer lineup from April 1
Aura Brewing in Fujisawa Honmachi announced on April 1 via social media that it had begun introducing its own craft beer lineup. Centered on the F series, which reflects Fujisawa's 13 districts, and bottled products, the brewery is rolling out a lineup with a strong local character.
Aura Brewing, located at 3-3-29 Fujisawa, Fujisawa City, on the former Uochou site in the Fujisawa Honmachi shopping street, is a microbrewery that opened its directly operated taproom on August 2, 2025. Representative Makoto Oura has lived in Fujisawa for about 20 years. Based on the Iwami-style brewing techniques he learned at Iwami Beer in Shimane, he aims to bring the atmosphere of the local area into the beer.
The brewery's signature lineup is the "F series," inspired by the 13 districts of Fujisawa City. On its official website, it introduces beers such as `#1 Island Breeze` (Session IPA / ABV 4.6%), `#5 First Light` (West Coast IPA / ABV 7.2%), and `#12 Toasty Days` (Brown Ale / ABV 5.0%). A feature article by aicco also noted that the shop operates with five taps inside and offers bottled products, suggesting a structure that looks beyond in-house service to takeout and distribution outside the venue as well.
The Instagram post on April 1 is positioned as one part of that introduction to its own beers. Rather than flashy promotion, Aura Brewing's defining trait is its emphasis on the contours of Fujisawa as a place and on brewing flavors that fit into the everyday lives of drinkers. It is worth watching not only as a spot to casually have a drink in Fujisawa Honmachi, but also as a brewery that turns local names directly into the individuality of its beers.
