New VERTERE Arrivals at Kagoya Marche Komae: Collaboration Sour and Single-Hop IPA
Two new beers from Okutama's VERTERE have arrived at the beer pub Kago-ya Marche Komae in Komae, Tokyo. The lineup includes the sour ale "Viburnum," a collaboration with Inkhorn Brewing, and "Spinosa," built entirely with Strata hops.
New VERTERE Arrivals
A new guest beer lineup from VERTERE has been added to "Kagoya Marche Komae" in Motoizumi, Komae City, Tokyo. The beer pub is located on the first floor of Odakyu Marche Komae, within walking distance of Odakyu Komae Station, making it easy to visit. It is open on weekdays from 11:00 to 21:00, and on weekends and holidays from 11:00 to 20:00, with year-round service adding to its appeal as a convenient stop.
Two beers are being introduced this time.
- Viburnum / Boysenberry Sour w/ White Chocolate
A sour ale made in collaboration with Inkhorn Brewing. This beer layers the bright tartness of boysenberry with creamy notes of white chocolate, creating a composition where fruitiness and dessert-like character coexist. Rather than leaning too far into sweetness, it is presented as a beer where lactic freshness and berry aroma come to the forefront.
- Spinosa / Single Hop IPA
An IPA made exclusively with Strata hops from Indie Hops in Oregon, USA. Designed with notes of peach, mango, and passion fruit, along with hints of berry and melon, it is characterized by a smooth mouthfeel and restrained bitterness. It is a style that makes the contour of a single hop's aroma easy to appreciate.
VERTERE is known as a brewery that carefully shapes the expression of aroma and acidity, and these two beers are contrasting examples of that approach. If you want to enjoy fruit-driven tartness, Viburnum is the easy choice; if you want to slowly explore hop aroma, Spinosa is the one to reach for.
One of Kagoya Marche Komae's strengths is that it is a station-close beer pub where you can try guest beers alongside a meal. For craft beer fans, this is a new arrival worth checking out when you're passing through the area.
