Introducing Six New Arrivals from WCB and VERTERE at Kagoya Marche Komae
An Instagram post from Kagoya Marche Komae introduced newly arrived beers from WEST COAST BREWING and VERTERE. From WCB's hazy IPAs and imperial stout to VERTERE's hazy DIPA and Belgian blonde, six beers with a wide range of aromas are lined up.
New arrivals at a station-close beer pub
Kagoya Marche Komae is a beer pub located just 30 seconds on foot from Odakyu Komae Station. Because it sits inside Odakyu Marche Komae, directly connected to the station, it is an easy place to stop by after work or while shopping. In this Instagram post, newly arrived beers from WEST COAST BREWING and VERTERE were introduced together.
WEST COAST BREWING
- Super Fresh / Hazy Double IPA
A collaboration beer with Tokyo brewery Inkhorn Brewing. Refreshing citrus notes like strawberry, grape, and grapefruit are layered with tropical nuances reminiscent of yellow peach and peach nectar.
- The Gateway / Imperial Stout
A rich stout made with banana and coconut flakes. Deep aromas of caramel, chocolate, and molasses are followed by hints of coffee and cinnamon.
- Project: NZ04 / NZ PILS
A pilsner developed against the backdrop of a research project by New Zealand hop farm Freestyle Hops. In addition to lemon, lime, and grapefruit, it is designed to bring out red apple, lychee, and herbal notes.
- The Lupulin Tree / Hazy Double IPA
A beer centered on mango, pineapple, and lychee, with layers of melon, peach, berry, and pear notes. It shows both tropical character and a lively green freshness.
VERTERE
- Collectiophobia // コレクティオフォビア / Hazy DIPA
A collaboration beer with Totopia Brewery. Bright aromas of orange and pineapple, a creamy tropical-fruit character, restrained bitterness, and a smooth finish are its hallmarks.
- Benitoa // ベニトア / Belgian Blonde
A Belgian blonde with fruit notes of white grape and pear, accented by hints of clove and banana. It combines crisp lightness with a gentle spicy aftertaste.
This lineup ranges widely from hazy IPA and imperial stout to pilsner and Belgian blonde, and the aromatic direction of each beer is also very different. For anyone who likes choosing craft beer by mood, having this kind of selection available so close to the station is a welcome thing.
