Two Miyagi breweries on tap in Jimbocho

Craft Beer Market Jimbo-cho is announcing a W Tap Takeover starting at 12:00 on June 20. Two breweries from Miyagi, Ishinomaki Hop Works and Kibou no Oka Brewery, will each pour seven beers, for a total of 14. The range is broad: IPA, lager, sour, seltzer, and more.

Ishinomaki Hop Works

- Makikaze Ale
- Makikaze Wheat
- Shiokaze Lager
- DANK YOU VERY MUCH
- CROSS PORT SOUR Shikuwasa
- Jasmine Tea IPA
- Galaxy IPA

This side moves from classic ale and lager to a collaboration seltzer with shikuwasa citrus, plus a jasmine tea IPA and a Galaxy-hop IPA made with rice from Miyagi. It is the kind of lineup that makes style comparisons straightforward.

Kibou no Oka Brewery

- Knuckle 167A
- The Spencer
- Culotte
- Liver Liver Liver
- Make Over
- Harunorekka
- Mexican Lager

This half leans into an American pale ale, West Coast IPA, yuzu saison, porter, sake-kasu hazy IPA, barrel-aged sour, and Mexican lager. That range fits a beer-pub setting where food pairing is part of the appeal.

The post also mentions a prize rock-paper-scissors contest, so the event is not just about drinking through the taps but also about spending time at the bar and comparing the breweries’ styles one by one.
