Canal brewing Announces April 18 Tap List with a Street-Fair Atmosphere in Oimachi
On April 18, Canal brewing (Oimachi, Tokyo) posted that the street in front of the shop had taken on a festival-like mood. The interior was kept cool, and takeaway in plastic cups was also available. That day's taps featured eight beers ranging from IPAs and hazies to lager and Belgian stout.
Canal brewing is Oimachi's first brewery and craft beer specialty shop, located at 1-26-4 Oi, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo. In its April 18 post, it noted that the street in front of the shop had turned into a street-fair atmosphere, while also announcing takeaway service that lets customers carry tap beer around in plastic cups. The line saying the shop was kept cool and ready for warmer days shows its approach of balancing the liveliness of the neighborhood with a comfortable place to spend time inside.
Tap List for the Day
- Canal brewing 'C #3' (IPA)
- Nomcraft Brewing 'Mystic Tiger' (Hazy IPA)
- BREW CLASSIC 'Wolf Chop' (Wheat IPA)
- FLORA FERMENTATION 'Lupus -Strata-' (Pale Ale)

- Ise Kadoya Beer 'Imperial Red Ale' (Double Red Ale)
- THREE ARROWS BREWING 'Funky Monkey Mango' (Fruits Pale Ale)

The lineup spans a wide range of styles, with not only hazies and IPAs but also a pale ale that lets you enjoy the outline of the hops, a Helles where you can easily taste the malt sweetness, a rich red ale, and a stout that works well as a finish. If you drink your way through them from the first glass onward, the center of gravity of the flavors shifts little by little.
Also featured in the can showcase were BREW CLASSIC's 'Tamayaradious' (HAZY IPA), 'Doris no Jagarou' (American-Belgo), and 'Ura Tiger Viva Haze' (HAZY IPA). Among them, 'Doris no Jagarou' was introduced as a popular favorite that the shop has brought in several times.
