A beer designed for both sipping and mixing

Daikanyama beer pub Bibibi. has announced its new original beer, DAIKANYAMA Weisse. The beer was created for a collaboration between the craft beer and sake clubs active on the Shibuya community app MABLs.

The concept was to make a beer that could be enjoyed in two ways: neat, or as a beer cocktail. It was developed to pair with yuzu liqueur from Tamanohikari Sake Brewery, creating a bridge between craft beer and a liqueur associated with the sake world.

Brewed by HOP JAPAN

The beer was brewed by HOP JAPAN, a microbrewery in Tamura, Fukushima. Founded in August 2020 after renovating the former public facility Green Park Miyakoji, the brewery works with local contract farmers to grow hops and produces beer with its own fresh harvests.

DAIKANYAMA Weisse uses the traditional German Berliner Weisse style. Brewed with wheat and known for its lactic acidity, Berliner Weisse is also traditionally served in Germany with flavored syrups, making it a natural choice for a cocktail-oriented beer. The alcohol content is 4.0%, with a crisp, refreshing acidity and an easy-drinking character.

The beer was unveiled at an event held at Shibuya Sakura Stage on September 3, 2026. Mixed with Tamanohikari’s yuzu liqueur, its gentle sweetness tightens the acidity while bringing a bright citrus aroma to the glass.

Bibibi. presents craft beer together with the stories of its brewers, keeping the distance between maker and drinker close. Located in Daikanyama, the pub offers a setting where guests can explore both the beer itself and the ideas behind it. HOP JAPAN is also scheduled to visit Bibibi. on September 27 for the FRESH HOP 2026 in Tokyo release event.
