vivo! BEER+DININGBAR, a beer specialty shop at Ikebukuro East Exit with 20 draft beers on tap, has entered its 16th anniversary week. The bar will gradually tap beers for the anniversary event inside the shop, and from April 22 to 26, two original beers made for the 16th anniversary, commemorative stickers, and rare beers from partner breweries are scheduled to appear.
On April 20, six new beers were tapped. "Miyashita Park IPA," which is usually only available at Ushitora Stand, finishes with bright citrus and tropical fruit notes. "Rock Dry Hop de Weizen ver.2" is made with wheat malt plus oats, giving it a hazier appearance and a smooth mouthfeel. "BATON 007" is a Belgian white ale paired with ginger and aged in a foeder cask. "Grand Saison 2025" is a saison notable for white-wine-like aromas from Nelson Sauvin hops, while "Peanut Butter Milk Stout" layers chocolate character with the sweetness and nutty flavor of peanut butter. "Kongoni Pale Ale - Crush ver." uses Crush hops.
The food lineup is built to pair naturally with beer, including white balsamic marinated zucchini and snap peas, potato salad with tuna, edamame, and salted kombu, oysters and okra in oil, pizza with shirasu and sakura shrimp, and herb-butter seared pork fillet. Rather than flashy production, the place has the straightforward atmosphere of an Ikebukuro-style beer pub where you can enjoy food while comparing multiple kegs.
