At Hinomoto Brewing & Beer Stand in Honkomagome, Bunkyo-ku, the tap list was updated for Sunday, Aug. 9. The brewery pub was open from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., with Wednesdays closed. It is an easygoing counter-style spot where drinkers can focus on the beer itself.

The lineup covered a wide range of styles: a dry-hopped session ale, a hazy IPA, an Italian pilsner, a Belgian IPA, an American IPA, a pineapple gose, an English best bitter, and a Belgian stout. In other words, this is the kind of list that lets you move from bright hop aroma to clean malt character and then into sour or roasty territory without leaving the same room.

Beers on tap

- Little Thing / Dry Hopped Session Ale, 4.5%
- Saburo Hazy / Hazy IPA, 7%
- Ryusui Sozo #2 / Italian Pilsner, 5.5%
- Mashup IPA Ekuanot / Belgian IPA, 6.5%
- Rolling Lolly / American IPA, 7.5%
- Pineapple Gose / Gose Style with pineapple, 5%
- Komagome Best Bitter / English Best Bitter, 4.5%
- Kurotsuru #4 / Belgian Stout, 7%

For hop-forward drinking, Saburo Hazy and Rolling Lolly stand out. For a cleaner, more balanced pint, Ryusui Sozo #2 and Little Thing fit well. If you want acidity and fruit, the Pineapple Gose is the obvious pick, while Komagome Best Bitter and Kurotsuru #4 cover the more malt-driven end of the list.

The post also mentioned a POP-UP appearance at Juhla tokyo in Sendagi, showing that Hinomoto’s beer was not limited to the taproom that day.
