Kakuuchi Asakura Highlights Five Taps, Including Two from NOMCRAFT BREWING
Kakuuchi Asakura in Kyoto's Kamigyo Ward expressed gratitude for crowdfunding support while introducing NOMCRAFT BREWING as this week's Pick up Brewery. The shop offers five taps of draft beer and Japanese sake, and it also announced an event at Umekoji Park on June 28.
Kakuuchi Asakura, located in Totenbaharicho, Kamigyo Ward, Kyoto, posted a thank-you message on Instagram for crowdfunding support. The post noted that a handrail had been installed on the entrance stairs, reporting that access to the shop has taken one step forward.
At the same time, the shop introduced NOMCRAFT BREWING as this week's "Pick up Brewery." From the brewery in Wakayama, the following two beers were featured in the lineup.
- WINE NOT? / NOMCRAFT BREWING
- KNIGHT FISHERMAN / NOMCRAFT BREWING
Both are 6.5% ABV. The former is a Japanese Wine Ale, and the latter is a Dip Hop IPA. Being able to casually try such distinctive styles at a kakuuchi-style shop is part of what makes this place appealing.
The post also revealed the day's craft beer tap list. Breweries from Japan and abroad are represented, including Ise Kadoya Beer, Shonan Beer, Yerrow Beer Works, Bighand Bros. Beer, and DIEU DU CIEL!
- Nama Kaku Smoke Oyster Stout / Ise Kadoya Beer
- Sakura Gose / Shonan Beer
- Yerrow Mountain Hazy Sassion IPA / Yerrow Beer Works
- Kyanite Bitter / Bighand Bros. Beer
- Dent de requin WestCoast IPA / DIEU DU CIEL!
Kakuuchi Asakura is a beer pub centered on craft beer and Japanese sake. The post also introduces it as a shop with five taps of draft beer and 10 kinds of Japanese sake, and its appeal lies in the chance to encounter different drinks each day. Another plus for sake and beer lovers is that favorite drinks can be purchased to take home.
The post further announced that "Kometomugi Festival in Kyoto 2026" will be held on June 28, 2026. It is being presented as an event where visitors can enjoy Japanese sake, craft beer, and food together at the Shichijo entrance plaza in Umekoji Park. The message drew attention both to a drink at the shop and a drink at the outdoor event.
