Chiitoko Shoten lines up three Tsugaru Brewery cans and four draft beers, including Kozaru IPA
Chiitoko Shoten in Shimosuwa, Nagano, announced its June 14 service details. The shop added three canned beers from the newly launched Tsugaru Brewery, while the draft lineup featured Minoh Beer’s Kozaru IPA and three more taps. Dagashi, handmade snacks, and coffee round out the casual setting.
Located in the Odamachi area of Shimosuwa Town, `Chiitoko Shoten` blends the feel of a dagashi shop with a beer pub and coffee counter. It is open from 10:00 to 22:00 on June 14, so it works as an easy daytime stop or an evening beer destination.
The highlight is three canned beers from the newly started `Tsugaru Brewery`. Head brewer Chris, one of the founders of Kyoto Brewing and its first head brewer, is behind the launch. The first release is the `Arigatou!` series: `Arigatou! Lager`, `Arigatou! Saison`, and `Arigatou! IPA`, all brewed with locally grown rice.
On draft, one new keg of `Minoh Beer`’s `Kozaru IPA` is featured. It is described as a summer-limited session IPA, a younger sibling to the classic `Osaru IPA`, with bright citrus aroma and a crisp, easy-drinking finish. The remaining taps are `Field Ales`’ `Hardboiled~well boiled pale ale~`, `Y.Market Brewing`’s `NEW鬼ヶ島Ⅸ`, and `Kyoto Brewing`’s `一期一会`.
The food menu also includes shortbread, banana bread, chocolate brownie, sausage rolls, and carrot tart, so the shop works as both a snack stop and a beer spot.
