And Beer in Koenji, Tokyo, shared its August 12 service update and announced that Super-Ripe Nanko Ume Weizen is back on tap. The post also refers to it as an "ume Weizen" and says the beer is made with super-ripe Kishu Nanko plums from Ume Boys in Wakayama. The brewery notes that the beer is higher in alcohol, so it is best enjoyed slowly as the temperature changes.
Food for the day starts with beef keema biryani, Kerala chicken curry, and duck-mince and eggplant saag. Dinner suggestions include bitter melon with plum dressing, plum-vinegar fried chicken, fried potatoes with fermented mayo, fried corn with garlic butter, and sweet-and-sour pork belly with black vinegar.
The brewpub is known for pairing house craft beer with spice-driven dishes. On August 12, it is open continuously from 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., with lunch, an idle period, and dinner service. Beer takeout runs from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and accepts PET bottles, plastic cups, and growlers. The terrace welcomes dogs and cats, and reservations are accepted by phone or official LINE.
