NEW TAP

Grandpa Fish & Chips, a beer pub in Kameido, Tokyo, updated its guest tap on June 22, 2026. The official website says the shop opened on March 1, 2019 and aims to be easy for first-time visitors to enter. Fish and chips sit at the center of the concept, and weekday hours run from 17:00 to 23:00, making it a practical stop after work.

The new beer is `Strawberry Weizen Golden Berry` from `Hansharo Beer`. The Instagram post says it uses Benihoppe strawberries grown in Izunokuni City, so the beer is presented as a strawberry-leaning wheat beer with a soft profile. The combination suggests a seasonal guest pour built around fruit aroma and a gentle malt base.

Paired with the shop's signature fish and chips, the beer should offer an easy comparison between savory fried food and a fruit-forward wheat beer. The same post also notes that the venue will be closed on Saturday and Sunday that week, so weekday visits are the safer bet. For Kameido drinkers, this is a tap worth keeping on the radar.
